Soto Ayam a la Ritha’s Mom

When I was a little girl, my Mom always cooked Soto Ayam for my birthday, since this kind of soto is one of my  favourite main dish. Main dish? Yup!

We, Indonesian, have many kind of Soto. Soto Ayam, Soto Ayam Ambengan, Soto Babat, Soto BandungSoto Mie … ouw, many! And we usually eat them as a main dish.

Soto Ayam (Spicy Chicken Soup) is a great dish either for winter or summer. My husband and I usually cook it for our dinner. Having it together with Sambal and Kerupuk, hmmm….

Dictionary: Sambal =  Chilly Sauce, Kerupuk = Chips
